Joseph's Story

Joseph's Story

On June 22, 2021, I went to a normal prenatal checkup. It was my third pregnancy, fourth child, and all seemed to be going well. The appointment started normally, and then the nurse tried to find a heartbeat. She couldn't find one, then the midwife couldn't find one, so I was sent to get an ultrasound. That's when we found out that our baby had passed away from unknown causes.

The next day, after a failed induction, Joseph Roger was born via C-section. He was so tiny and so perfect. We got to keep him until the next evening, when we gave him to the mortician. We held his funeral a few days later.

Since having this experience, our heart has been opened to the heartbreak caused by pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, and other sources of grief. We started this company so that we could help others remember and heal along with us.

I hope that this blog can be a source of validation for grief. It is such a complex emotion that often gets downplayed or oversimplified.

This blog is for anyone who:

wonders what it's like to lose a baby,

has lost a baby,

struggles to have a baby,

knows someone who lost a baby,

or really anyone experiencing grief.

We hope that the products we sell and the stories we share help. Thanks for visiting!
